This is how matchbus works
Based on an example
Bus and tour operator Clever has a transport order from A to B on the 31st of March. He would like to assign this order to someone else.
Clever gets a message from matchbus, that bus operator Cool has a vacant bus in proximity to A for March 31st.
At the same time, Cool receives a message from matchbus that Clever is looking for a bus in A and surrounding for that day.
matchbus recognizes a match and informs Clever and Cool. Both get in touch and agree to take over and carry out the transportation from A to B.
Winners are:
Clever, because he makes sales without having to use his own bus and driver. Clever as he is, he can use the originally scheduled bus for March the 31st for another trip.
Cool, because he makes sales that he did not take into account in his calculations. Cool thinks it is cool that he is able to carry out the originally planned empty trip from A to B with a manned bus.
Our environment, because matchbus could avoid 2kg of CO2 emissions for each empty 100 kilometres.
The bus companies, because trough matchbus they saved 27 litres of fuel for each empty 100 kilometres.
The bus, because the already most environmentally friendly transport led to a more sustained relief of nature and environment.
The bus industry, because it gained another additional marketing argument. Being more environmentally friendly, is not only clever, but also cool.
The travellers, because travelling by bus is the environmentally friendliest, smartest and coolest mean of transport in comparison to travelling by plane, car or train.
